Peripheral neuropathy is a feeling of weakness or numbness and pain from nerve damage and is usually most noticeable in the hands and feet.

Diabetes is a common cause, although people undergoing chemo therapy for cancer are often at high risk. In fact 30-40% of patients treated with neurotoxic chemotherapy will develop this dangerous and uncomfortable condition.

It can also be the result of injuries, infection or exposure to other toxins.

Low intensity shockwave has been shown to be very effective in activating connective tissue and improving blood flow and oxygen to the effected area.
